Mahallat/ Netherlands of Iran 

Mahallat is a city of Markazi province in Iran that has very desirable climate. Geographically, from the north the city leads to Qom and Ashtian, from the east it leads to Delijan, from the south to Isfahan and Golpayegan, and from the west to Khomeyn and Arak.

Since Mahallat has good climate and no pollution it is a suitable place for flower farming and there are many flower farms in the city.

Therefore Mahallat is known as Netherlands of Iran, legendary paradise and the city of flowers. The city is also ranked first in terms of producing different kinds of flowers in Iran. About the history of the city it can be said that it was a small part of Mades province during Acheamenid era.

The most popular souvenir of Mahallat is a kind of Halva called “ Halva Ardeh” that made of Tahini. The city also has handicrafts like Jawal ( large woollen sack), Carpet, and Giveh.
