Day 1: Arrival in Tehran

  • Arrive in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy some leisure time to relax and prepare for your tour.

Day 2: Tehran to Zagros Mountains (Biosphere Reserve of Koohrang)

  • After breakfast, head to Koohrang Biosphere Reserve in the Zagros Mountains.

  • Explore this unique region, known for its rich biodiversity, including the endangered Persian Leopard and wild goats.

  • Hike through the stunning valleys, caves, and high-altitude meadows.

  • Visit Choghakhor Wetland, a haven for migratory birds, and enjoy birdwatching in the peaceful environment.

Day 3: Koohrang to Dena National Park

  • Travel south towards Dena National Park, located in the Zagros mountain range.

  • Known for its towering peaks and crystal-clear lakes, Dena is a hiker’s paradise. Trek to the Dena Summit, the highest point in the region, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and peaks.

  • The park is home to diverse wildlife, including Persian wild sheep, brown bears, and red foxes.

Day 4: Dena to Maranjab Desert (Ardakan)

  • Leave the mountains behind and journey toward the Maranjab Desert, part of the vast Dasht-e Kavir desert in central Iran.

  • Explore the desert landscape, visit the historic Maranjab Caravanserai, and wander the endless sand dunes.

  • Enjoy a spectacular sunset and an optional evening desert safari.

  • Learn about desert life and the rare desert wildlife that survives in this extreme environment.

Day 5: Maranjab to Lorestan National Park

  • Head to Lorestan National Park, located in western Iran, known for its breathtaking natural beauty and diverse ecosystems.

  • Spend the day hiking through lush forests and observing the wildlife, including wild boar, mountain goats, and various bird species.

  • Visit the Shahdasht Waterfall, one of the most famous waterfalls in the region.

Day 6: Lorestan to Golestan National Park

  • Drive northeast to Golestan National Park, one of Iran’s oldest and most important parks.

  • This UNESCO-listed park is home to dense forests, beautiful wildlife, and a diverse range of plants. Observe brown bears, leopards, and wild boars in their natural habitat.

  • Enjoy a hike through its forest trails and visit the Gorgan River, which flows through the park.

Day 7: Return to Tehran

  • Return to Tehran for the final day of your tour. Visit Niavaran Palace Complex or explore Tehran’s Grand Bazaar for some shopping before your departure.

  • Departure in the evening or stay for an extended exploration of Tehran’s cultural landmarks.
