How long does it take to get a Visa?

The treatment visa for Iran is valid for 30 days, but it can be extended if needed and according to your doctor's order.

The visa process depends on your nationality considering the needed documents are different. It may take up around 2-8 business weeks to get the visa authorization number. 

Iran Visa for American, Canadian, and British nationalities:

There are some particular regulations for visa issuance of American, Canadian, and British passport holders. These nationalities can not apply for their visa independently and do their visa process, they should contact a travel agent.

Supporting documents to apply for a Treatment - Medical  visa        

Preparing the needed documents to apply for a Treatment-Medical visa is the first step, the documents we need for those who have already gotten an approval letter from one of the authorized medical centers are: 

1. A valid passport with at least 6 months validity. ( Note: your passport must have at least 2 blank pages)

2. A picture of you in size of 4 cm in 6 cm.

3. Approval letter from one of the authorized medical centers

5. Visa service fee & Visa stamp fee

Visa Process: 

To start the process of your T-visa, you will have 3 options:

  • Apply for your visa online at https://e_visa.mfa.ir/en/
  • Refer to the nearest Iranian embassy in your country and request your treatment visa.
  • The last option is to ask a reliable agency to do everything from A to Z. Not only, is this way not tiring for you but also, it causes you to save money & time.

Getting Visa Stamp in Passport: 

When we get your authorization number, send it to you. After 3 days, you should call the Iranian embassy which is chosen by yourself to make sure they receive your visa code too. When they confirm, you need to go there, complete some other paperwork such as fill a visa collection form, deliver 2 pictures (1 in 1 inch), and your original passport, and visa stamp fee(This fee varies depending on your nationality) and finally collect your visa.
