This itinerary provides a combination of mountainous, forest, and desert national parks, allowing you to experience Iran’s natural diversity.

Day 1: Arrival in Tehran

  • Arrive in Tehran, Iran's capital, and transfer to your hotel.

  • Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Tehran to Golestan National Park

  • Depart from Tehran in the morning for Golestan National Park, located in the northeastern part of the country.

  • The park is known for its rich flora and fauna, including wolves, bears, leopards, and over 300 bird species. Take a guided hike through its diverse landscapes, from lush forests to alpine meadows.

  • Explore the park’s historic sites like the Golestan Palace before returning to your hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Golestan to Kavir National Park

  • Travel to Kavir National Park, a vast desert wilderness offering a unique opportunity to explore Iran’s arid landscapes.

  • Visit the salt flats and deep, rugged valleys. Enjoy a visit to the Kavir Salt Desert, one of the largest salt deserts in the world, where you can see the incredible salt formations.

  • Take part in an evening desert safari and watch the sun set over the desert.

Day 4: Kavir to Alamut

  • Head to Alamut in the northern Alborz mountains for a visit to the Alamut Valley, famous for its medieval fortress and its stunning mountainous landscapes.

  • Hike through the stunning Alamut River Gorge, known for its lush vegetation and unique rock formations.

Day 5: Alamut to Lorestan Province

  • Drive toward Lorestan, home to Oshtoran Koo National Park, a beautiful, rugged area with rich biodiversity.

  • Spend the day trekking through the park, which is home to diverse wildlife, including wild goats, deer, and a variety of bird species. The park also has breathtaking waterfalls and caves to explore.

Day 6: Lorestan to Dasht-e Kavir

  • Head to Dasht-e Kavir, one of the most famous desert areas in Iran, known for its stark landscapes and unique geological features.

  • Explore the park, visit the ancient caravanserais, and experience the quiet solitude of Iran’s central desert region.

Day 7: Return to Tehran

  • Travel back to Tehran for a final day of sightseeing. You can visit the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art or enjoy the view of Tehran from Mount Tochal.

  • In the evening, depart for your onward journey.
