🗺 Itinerary

Day 1: Tehran → Kelardasht

  • Morning drive through Chalus Road into the forested heart of the Alborz range.

  • Arrive in Kelardasht, a mountain basin known for its clean air, towering trees, and calm.

  • Light hike around Mazichal, a highland meadow often floating in fog.

  • Evening by the fire in a forest guesthouse. Local dinner and rest.


Day 2: Kelardasht → Abbasabad Jungle

  • Visit Valasht Lake, surrounded by forested slopes—ideal for a picnic or short trail walk.

  • Continue to Abbasabad Jungle, a thick, moist forest area with UNESCO-listed heritage features.

  • Walk along quiet forest paths and if weather permits, visit Abbasabad Garden and Dam.

  • Overnight in a jungle cabin or traditional eco-house near Salman Shahr.


Day 3: Abbasabad → Yush (Nima's Village)

  • Scenic drive inland to Yush, a remote village surrounded by forested slopes and alpine meadows.

  • Visit the house and tomb of Nima Yooshij, Iran’s modern poetry pioneer.

  • Learn about Tabari culture, forest oral traditions, and mountain life.

  • Evening in a family-run home in Yush or nearby Baladeh.


Day 4: Yush → Nur & Caspian Coast

  • Short hike to local springs and explore nearby old shrines and village cemeteries.

  • Drive down to Nur town by the Caspian Sea, passing rice paddies and jungle valleys.

  • Evening on the beach or in a forest park.

  • Overnight in a comfortable ecolodge near the forest line.


Day 5: Nur → Tehran

  • Stop at Yakhroud or Namarestagh Forests on the way back.

  • Optional lunch at a jungle-side restaurant (try smoked rice and white fish).

  • Return to Tehran before evening.
