My family and friends warned me that Iran was unsafe for Americans, but my travel partner John and I went anyway.  The unsafe part came true for me when I slipped and fell in Tehran and smashed my shoulder.  The folks at Lets Go Iran helped me through surgery and a four and a half day stay at the Tehran Clinic and worked out an itinerary for the week that we had left for touring after my release.

Even with the fall, I am very glad that I visited this historic, interesting, colorful and friendly country also known as Persia!

While I look back with great regret on my fall in Tehran, I have only the warmest thoughts for all the help your agency gave me in my time of need.  It started with the day spent going to the doctor, getting a second opinion, getting your help in moving the money to Iran and continues on through the rest of the trip with your revised itinerary, the movement by car and plane, etc.  I realize that my situation would be very much worse if I hadn't had your help.  To have delayed surgery, all the doctors tell me, would have meant the loss of most of the use of my left arm to say nothing of the pain I would have suffered.

Your agency, in the person of Mahdi took good care of me by dealing with the office of the Tehran Clinic but even more by staying with me the three nights after surgery and helping me get through the night.  I will always be grateful to him and tell everyone about his kindness and gentle care.

After my discharge, when John and I could begin to travel again, each guide/driver was very caring and made things easy for me.  Both John and I are glad that we got to see as much as we did of Iran.  We enjoyed every part of the tour.

One disappointment was that we never got to meet you and thank you for your patient help that began a year ago!  This trip might possibly be the last overseas trip for each of us and you made it very memorable.
