This museum was the first museum in Iran and is located in Tehran. This museum has an area of 5500 square meters.

The national museum of Iran is known as the mother of all the museums in Iran. At the moment Dr. Jebrael Nokandeh is the museum's general manager.

The Museum of Ancient Iran contains a set of rich archaeological remnants. The oldest object is linked to the Paleolithic period (about 12000 to one million years ago) and the most recent object is linked to the Sassanid period (more than 1500 years old). There are unique objects exhibited in this hall.
