Seyyed Mosque
Seyyed Mosque is the biggest and the most famous mosque of the 13th century. The architecture of the mosque was done by one of the great scholars living during the reign of Mohammad Shah Qajar.
This mosque is designed with beautiful and colorful tile works with paintings of vases and nature on them. The color "light red" is highly important and is the color used in other mosques of Qajar Era, like Rahim Khan Mosque and Rokn al-Molk.
The tomb of Seyyed Hojat al-Islam is located in the North East side of the mosque. Inscriptions written by Mohammad Baqer Sharif Shirazi dating back from 1255 until 1311 are kept in this mosque. The interior design of the domes of the tomb is beautiful moldings, mirror work and glides. The shrine is silver and gold with stunning carvings.
