Khaju Bridge
On the East side of Zayanderud River and Khaju Bridge there are monuments that date back to the Safavid Era and the reign of Shah Abbas II in 1060 AH. This bridge was a multipurpose bridge.
The upper surface of the bridge was for the movement of transportation devises like carriages and animals. The lower surface is for slow walkers and a rest area for pedestrians. The upper and lower surfaces are made with rocks and mortars. There is a small stream of water on the side of the bridge. When the stream is blocked, it makes a small pond in the West side of the bridge.
On the East side of the bridge there are rocky stairways that go down and near the stream. The stairs are a soothing place for sitting and enjoying the nature. In the center of the bridge a mansion named Biglarbeigi is situated for greeting formal guests and the rooms of this mansion have gold color designs.
