Nomads in Iran are a group of people who have historically lived a mobile lifestyle, moving from one place to another with their herds of livestock to find pasture and water for their animals. There are several different groups of nomads in Iran, each with their own distinct culture, traditions, and dialects.

Nomads in Iran are known for their hospitality, warmth, and a strong sense of community. They have a rich culture and way of life that has been passed down through generations, and they continue to maintain many of their traditional practices and beliefs.

While many nomads in Iran continue to live a mobile lifestyle, some have begun to settle in permanent villages and towns, due to a variety of factors such as economic opportunities, education, and modernization. Despite these changes, many nomads in Iran continue to maintain a strong connection to their traditional way of life, and they are working to preserve their culture and traditions for future generations.

For travelers interested in experiencing the nomadic way of life in Iran, there are several options for guided tours and homestays. These experiences offer the opportunity to learn about nomadic culture, meet local families, and participate in traditional activities such as animal husbandry, weaving, and cooking. Some popular destinations for nomadic experiences in Iran include the Zagros Mountains, the Alborz Mountains, and the Dasht-e Kavir desert.

It is important for travelers to be respectful of local customs and traditions when visiting nomadic communities in Iran, and to be mindful of the impact that tourism can have on traditional ways of life. By supporting responsible and sustainable tourism practices, travelers can help to support local communities and preserve the unique culture and traditions of Iran's nomads.

If you are a tourist who would like to travel to our country to enjoy being with the nomads, see their daily life and get familiar with their traditions, this program can be the best choice for you.

You will experience with us an adventurous tour by staying with one of the largest nomad tribes in Iran, the Qashqai tribe. The main center of their life is in Fars province, but some of them also live in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Khuzestan, Isfahan, etc.

This tribe is one of the most populous tribes in Iran. Qashqai people speak Turkish.
