Tehran is the biggest city in Iran and it is the capital of this country. Tehran is the 25th overpopulated city in the world that from the north leads to the mountainous areas and from the south leads to a desert area, so the climate of the city is different from its northern parts. The North of the city has cool and dry weather and the south of it has hot and dry weather. The structure of the city is a great combination of tradition and modernity. Tehran has old monuments, splendid mosques, magnificent buildings, great parks, and also modern buildings. Many flights enter and leave Iran through different cities. By attending an open-jaw itinerary, you can save more money, time, and energy. You do not need to repeat away. What to eat? Where to eat?

Despite other cities in Iran, Tehran doesn't have any special local food. Different kinds of foods are common in Tehran that you can eat them in famous restaurants of the city like Nayeb that has several branches, Alborz and Raftari. There is also another nice restaurant in Tehran in the grand Bazaar which name is “Moslem" where you can eat the most delicious Iranian food especially Tahchin. Neshat, Zeytoon, Khatun, and KFC restaurants are good choices for those who are interested in eating fast food. If you like to eat your food in a luxurious restaurant, we recommend you to go to Divan restaurant in Fereshteh st. and Tamasha restaurant in Milad Noor shopping center.

What do we buy from Tehran?

Although souvenir is a part of Iranian culture, Tehran does not have any special souvenir. Some people think that the new things that are not found in other cities of Iran are souvenirs of Tehran. The new things that persuade people from different cities to travel to Tehran can be considered as Tehran's souvenirs. Tehran Grand Bazaar, Tajrish Bazaar, and Crystal Bazaar of Shoosh are the most popular and important shopping centers in Tehran. Tandis, Tirajeh, Milad Noor, Palladium, Goldis, Vanak, and Diamond are also the most famous modern shopping centers in Tehran.

It should be said that Shiraz is one of the most beautiful cities of Iran that many titles are assigned to it, for example, "city of lovers" and it is due to the matter that Shiraz is the hometown of great poets like Hafez and Saadi. The city also has many historical and natural attractions that you will become interested in them. The people of Shiraz are really warmhearted. Traveling to Shiraz can be one of your most memorable trips.

Nasirolmolk Mosque, a 1000-color mosque of Iran, will change your idea about colors. You are surrounded by different colors there and feel you are flying over a big rainbow. After visiting these sights, you will eat your lunch at a traditional luxury restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have a walking time in the old part of the city and then will see Hafez and Saadi tombs. Iranians believe Hafez's poems can tell them what is going to happen for them in the future. That is why they first focus on their wish, close their eyes, and open Hafez's book randomly and try to find a connection between the meaning of that poem and their wish.

Day 4 & 5 in Yazd

(One full day and 2 nights)

You will spend two nights in Yazd, so you will have enough time to explore the city.

Today, the Zoroastrian city is welcoming you. The city of friendly people, old constructions, delicious sweets, and great Qanats. As this city is a desert city, people in the past had to conserve water and keep it eatable and clean. That is why they made many Qanat, where they could keep water, in Yazd. Since the city is located in the desert region, it has a dry and hot climate. Yazd can be considered as a two-season city; a long hot season (from March until September) and a short cold season (from October until February).

The best time to visit Yazd is January, February, March, and April because the hot weather in summer might bother you and it doesn’t allow you to enjoy it enough.

Iran is a country with a warm and dry climate, so many deserts are spreading in different places all over Iran, and especially its centers near Yazd. Mysterious lands that traveling to them would be one of the most exciting experiences of your life for sure.
With this explanation, we do recommend that you shouldn't miss going to the desert where the local people have established adorable camps in the heart of desserts. There, you enjoy watching a sunset, walking on the Sandhill, have a night gathering, set on fire, and drink a cup of tea that is made on the fire. Listening to traditional music.

Overnight, you will have two options:

A camp or stay in a traditional house located in the heart of the desert.
To go back to Yazd and stay in your hotel.

We do recommend you to stay one night in the desert, it could be an unforgettable experience for you. But please let us know if you are not comfortable with sleeping on the mattress and not having a private bathroom, we will arrange a comfortable room with all facilities for you in the hotel in Yazd.

How to get to Yazd?

  1. Private driver
  2. Vip Bus
  3. Pre-book driver-guide

The best way is doing pre-book your driver guide. This way, you can have a stop in Marvdasht to visit Persepolis (UNESCO World Heritage), and your guide will explain this historical and architectural background. Then, continue your way to Yazd.

Please consider that you will have approximately 5 hours driving to Yazd so we recommend you visit only Persepolis, but if you are a very energetic person, you can see Necropolis and Pasargadae too.

Where to stay in Yazd?

Staying at a traditional hotel is really desirable when traveling to a historic city. But Yazd like other cities of Iran has modern hotels that you can choose any of them based on your interest.
We recommend you stay at the traditional hotels in the city because staying at such hotels is not possible in any other city. Fazeli, Fahadan, Safaiyeh, and Dad hotels are the best traditional hotels in Yazd. If you are not interested in staying at traditional hotels, you can stay in modern hotels in the city like Arg, Jahangardi, Zanbagh, and Karavan.

What to eat? Where to eat?

We recommend you to try Ashe Sholi and Khoresh-e Gheimeh, these are the most famous food of Yazd and you can eat them in Talar-e Yazd restaurant that is also called "Haji Ashpaz". Moshir, Khan Dohad, Adib Al-mamalek, Mahoor, Abul Maali, and Malek Al-Tojar are other great traditional restaurants in Yazd that you can go to and enjoy eating delicious foods.

What do we buy from Yazd?

Yazd like other cities of Iran has both traditional Bazaars and modern shopping centers, but we recommend you as a tourist to go to traditional Bazaars because when you go to such Bazaars, you can enjoy the great architecture of them as well as buying famous souvenirs of the city that are handicrafts like Termeh, copper dishes, gold, and silver. To buy gold, silver, and Termeh, you can go to Khan Bazaar. khojasteh and Rezaee are the most famous stores in the Bazaar. For buying copper dishes you just need to go to coppersmiths Bazaar which is located in front of Khan Bazaar. Qottab and Baklava are the most popular souvenirs of Yazd that you can buy the best kind of them from the Haj Khalifeh store. If you like to go to modern shopping centers, Setareh and Aria malls can be good choices.

You can take some pictures.

Then, after finishing your city tour in Isfahan and eat lunch, you will be driven toward Tehran.

How to get to Isfahan

There are 3 ways to get to Isfahan.

The first way is to hire a private car and driver. We suggest the first option because you can ask your driver to have a stop on the way to visit Meybod and Naein villages. Visit pigeon tower, Narin castle, and visit cotton waving workshop and Jame mosque in Naein.
The second way is to catch a VIP bus that departs every hour of the day.
Third and the last option is to book a DMC flight, but please notice that there are not daily flights on this route. And another point you need to know about choosing the first and second options is to missing Naein and Maybod which is on the way to Isfahan and Yazd...

Where to stay in Isfahan?

Abbasi Guesthouse or Shah Abbas Hotel is one of the great hotels of Iran and the city of Isfahan. Iran Travel FAQ

In general, Iran is much safer than many from the West might believe. Most people are genuinely friendly and interested to know about you and your country, so leave aside your preconceptions and come with an open mind.

Iran is still a relatively low-crime country, although thefts and muggings have been on the increase in recent years. Keep your wits about you, and take the usual precautions against pickpockets in crowded bazaars and buses, for sure much safer than any other touristic city.

Ignore the media hype, your chances of facing anti-Western sentiment as a traveler are none. Even hardline Iranians make a clear distinction between the Western governments they distrust and individual travelers who visit their country.

Is it possible to use a credit card in Iran?

No. It is not possible. Because of the sanction against Iranian banks, you are not able to use a credit card in Iran so you need to bring cash with you. Alight there are some new solutions for you to open an account and have a local card.

March, April, and May are in the peak season of the year. Persian New Year starts on March 21st, or 22nd. There are many travelers not just from Iran but also from all over the world who are eager to see Persian ceremonies and the like.
