Tochal Ski Resort

Tochal is the nearest and the most crowded ski resort of Tehran which is located at the end of Velenjak st. 3km from Tajrish sq. in Shemiranat county. Tochal is the highest resort in Iran. It has 3 gondola lift lines, 3 chairlift lines and 1 ski lift (teleski) line with a total length of 7500m, that are comparable to the highest gondola lifts of the world.

Tochal complex has 3 distinct resorts; the first one is situated in peak, the second one is in western foothill and the third one is in seventh to fifth station. Peak resort or seventh station starts from the foot of Tochal at 3850m and end at hotel at 3550m. The length of the resort is 1200m and a chairlift and a ski lift are improvised there. According to the length of the resort, snow falls there and in Sabalan ski resort in Azarbayejan at the same time. This resort is available more than 8 months of the year. Ski resort of seventh station is located in western foothill and manifests unique views of the surrounding mountains. The length of the resort is 900m, its peak is 3750m and its lowest spot is 3550m high. A Pomadr chairlift is improvised there for transporting skiers. The length of seventh to fifth station is about 5500m. Its peak is 3750m high and its lowest part is 2940m high and located in fifth station. Tochal complex is one of the best equipped resorts of Iran which has tennis, archery,bungee jumping,skating and paintball clubs and you can also go walking and climbing there.
