Ramsar/ Sakhtsar/ Green city/ Gem of the west of Mazandaran Province

Ramsar is one of the most beautiful, verdurous cities of Mazandaran Province. Geographically, from the east Ramsar leads to Tonekabon, from the west it leads to Rudsar plain, from the south to Alborz mountains and from the north to the Caspian sea. The city has warm, damp summers and cold winters. Since Ramsar is located near forest and sea and has great nature it is considered as one of the most visited cities of Iran by tourists.

Where to stay in Ramsar?

If you are interested in staying at a unique place in the middle of forest, we suggest forest cottages of Bame Ramsar hotel to you. You can enjoy the great landscape of forest and sea by staying at those cottages. Ramsar’s old hotel is the most popular hotel of the city that can be a good choice for staying. The city also has other good but less expensive hotels like Malekshah and Eskan.

Ramsar like other cities has its own local foods such as: Bademjan Kabab, Torsh ghale, Torshibaze, Dobarpach,Sirtare, Kaltare,Torshi shami,Mirzaghassemi,Gerdpich mahi, Kochur and Changultare. You can try the local foods of Ramsar in good restaurants in the city for example: Mazaheri, Melal, Kashti( Ship), Ilmily and Baradaran. If you are interested in eating fast food, we suggest you to go Pamchal, Nano, Hamham and Burgerplus restaurants.

Ramsar has some good cafes that you can go, enjoy your time and try delicious foods and drinks of the city. Haft, Honarmandan and Jazireh are the best cafes of Ramsar.

Different kinds of handicrafts like Qadak and Mat,agricultural products, dairy products, fish, duck and egg are the souvenirs of Ramsar that you can buy them from Ramsar’s Pickle and Olive market and other Bazaars of the city.

Ramsar has both natural and historical tourist attractions such as: Swan lake of Javaher Deh ( a village in the central district of Ramsar), Siyasourt waterfall, waterfalls of Javaher Deh, Dalkhani river and forest, Garmsar yaylak, Casino boulevard,and Ramsar Palace.
