The trip you arranged as well as the visas & total was outstanding.  I loved Iran & its people who are so kind, generous, giving & welcoming to the 3 of us Americans.  At one point I felt that if I should die while there, the people would take care of me for sure.  We were invited to join people on the streets for tea or just to visit.  I think they loved to take pictures of us with them & we loved it as well.

Akbar, Hojo, & Ata were all the most professional, honest, genuine people I have ever had as tourist guides & I hated to leave all of them.  Words will never express how much we appreciated each one of them in opening up a wonderful view of your very special country.  I pretty much knew it would be that way before coming as There are several Iranian people here that I spoke with before leaving so it wasn't a surprise, but to feel so a part of  your country  was really special

We loved the home stay with the family in Baam village & the 2 little girls & brother greeted us with the American flag.  One night one of the Australian young guys had a birthday so the family had a huge birthday cake & we celebrated including the water, hubba bubba pipe & the owner made sure we each got  the water pipe we wanted to take home.  Now if I can just remember how to set it up, I will be in business

The visit out to the Nomad village was special too & of course the family invited us into their tent for tea.  There was a big celebration in Oom while we were there honoring a descendant of Muhammed & people were  camping out on the street in front of our hotel.  Another opportunity to mingle & visit with them as well as joining them for tea & the social Hubba Bubba water pipe.  When we went to the Mosque that evening, I shall always remember the number of people who came over to us & wanted to talk with us, then the photos too.  I shall always remember the numbers of people who told us, "We love the American People!"   It wouldn't have been necessary to tell us that because we knew it just by the welcome everyone extended to us.

Of the 109 countries I have been blessed to visit or be a part of in volunteering as a nurse, teaching English as a second language, or just wanting to learn about people, the people of Iran have moved to NUMBER 1 as one of my most special of all places.

I could go on & on, but hope that you have the message of how all three of us felt about this journey to Iran.  And you, Parisa, deserve a very special thank you for coordinating everything for this trip including that all important registration no. that we needed for a visa.  At times, my patience became less as the wait for that number lingered on, but the day it finally arrived at the end of April, we all went into high gear to make the final arrangements so that we could DEPART FOR WONDERFUL, SPECIAL IRAN on May 4.

The only thing I neglected to ask for on this trip was a visit to a school.  We thought of that towards the end of the trip, but still had an opportunity to communicate with many school children by the museums in Tehran.  They were eager to practice their English.

Please don't forget me Parisa as one of your special friends here in the United States,   Iowa is my home, the tall corn state, & if you ever come to the US,  you are more than welcome to come to my home.  The doors will be wide open for you.  Please extend special thank  to the 3 expert guides who made more than a special effort to make our journey absolutely the very, very best.

God Bless you Parisa in every way.  My heart goes out to all the Iranian people especially now with the unrest occurring there over the election.  We pray that all will turn out in the best possible way for all of you deserving Iranians.  Iran will remain in my heart till the day I die.
