Varharam (Bahram) Fire Temple
The current Varharam fire temple was established in 1935 with the help and financial assistance of Zoroastrians of Yazd and the corps of India. The beautiful Varharam Fire Temple was inspired by the beautiful architecture of the Achaemenid Era.
This monument is located in the center of a vast courtyard filled with trees. On the front of the building the carved picture of Farvahar (Angel) is visible.
The importance of this fire temple is because of the amount of time its fire has been burning, which is said that it has been burning since 1520 years ago until now.
The fire of Varharam Temple is located in a special room made of brass, and the room is in the middle of the fire temple and is built higher than the ground, away from wind, rain and sunshine in order to keep the fire safe.
