Chabahar/ the evergreen city/ the coolest port of Iran

Chabahar is a city in the southeast of Sistan and Baluchestan Province. Since the city has mild climate it is called “ Chaharbahar” that means four Springs. Chabahar is a city where all four seasons of the year are like Spring. Chabahar is one of the seven free-trade zones of Iran and it is the only ocean port of the country in the vicinity of the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean. Chabahar is one of the unique free ports of Iran with a lot of natural attractions. The city also has commercial importance due to its free-trade zone status.

Where to stay in Chabahar?

There are a few hotels in Chabahar that you can choose for staying. Lipar Grand hotel and Laleh international hotel are the best hotels of the city with reasonable prices. Sepideh and Kashtirani hotels are other good places for staying in the city. You can also rent a villa in Chabahar.

What to eat? Where to eat?

Chabahar like other cities has its own local foods that Fish and Date are the main ingredients of them. Kank, Batumash, Shududeh, Batuhavari, Mashing, Pakginmahuk, Korek, Galuhak, Narvash, Kish and Dalag are the famous foods of Chabahar that you can try them in Baluch restaurant. Tehran, Bam-e Chabahar, Bam-e Sadaf and Lipar are other good restaurants of the city.

Beverages ( Soft Drinks)

Chabahar doesn’t have any special drink nor any special cafe, but Bolan Baluch coffee shop is a traditional place near the beach that has a good environment and also serves local foods that you can go and enjoy your time there. You can also go Nemat ice cream shop and try its delicious ice creams.

What do we buy from Chabahar?

Bazaars and shopping centers of Chabahar are considered as the attractions of the city. Pardis, Salehyar, Sadaf, Ferdows, and Tis are the best shopping malls of Chabahar that are very similar to the malls of Kish island. Handicrafts and local bread are the most famous souvenirs of Chabahar, for example: Suzani, Brocade, Tiny bread, Gachari bread, Tanuri bread, Nomad’s bread and corn bread that you can buy them from the Bazaars of the city. Indian spices are also famous there and if you like to buy, you should go Maharajaspice shop. We also suggest you to go Fruit and Vegetable market of Chabahar and try “Guava” which is a tropical, healthy fruit.

Chabahar has a lot of attractive places to visit such as: Badland or Martain mountains that are unique in Iran, Wave volcano phenomenon, Mud volcano which is an amazing geotourism phenomenon, Bahu Kalat river that is the habitat of Mugger crocodile(the rarest type of crocodile),Lipar pink wetland which is one the five colored lakes in the world, Shahbazband mountain and cemetery of Jinn in Tis historical village, English Telegraph building, Portuguese castle,Ficus religiosa trees, Konarak wharf, and Pazm roch beach.
