Bushehr, Iran's capital of Energy

Bandar-e Bushehr is the capital city of Bushehr province that is located on the border of Persian Gulf and it has a warm and humid climate. In historical books and documents the name of the city was written as " Ram Ardashir" , " Abushehr", " Liyan" and " Rishahr". The city leads to Persian Gulf from the North, West and South. Bushehr has been labeled as Iranian capital of energy due to its rich oil and gas reserves. In addition to the existence of a nuclear power plant in the city, shipbuilding industry and exports are booming there. The city has a lot of historical attractions as well as so warmhearted people who speak Bandari accent that make your trip wonderful.

Where to stay in Bushehr?

There are a lot of hotels in Bushehr, but they are not really luxurious. Delvar hotel in Rais Ali Delvari boulevard and Pasargad hotel in Imam street are good three-star hotels of Bushehr. If you prefer to stay at less expensive hotels, Aseman hotel 1 in west Hafez street, Aseman hotel 2 in Safavi street, Siraf hotel in Imam Khomeini street and Saheli hotel in Saheli street can be good choices for you.

Seafood in the best choice in Bushehr, because you cannot find the delicious fishes of Bushehr like Narrow-Barred spanish mackerel, tigertooth croaker and silver pomfrel, that are cooked by skilled cooks anywhere else. Since Bushehr in near the sea and fishing is common there, seafood is considered as the main traditional food of the city. Ghalieh Mahi, Fried fish, Mahiye Shekampor, Tah Andaz ( Bottom cooked fish) and Khoresh-e Gheimeh are the famous foods of the city that you can try them in Qavam restaurant and Jafreh Alibash Hookah Bar. Gargoor, Khadem and Ostureh are other good restaurants of Bushehr. For those who interested in eating in eating fast food, Rafael and Pedare Khoob restaurants are the best choices. And if you like to eat foreign foods, we recommend you to go Gano Italian restaurant in Bushehr.

Beverages ( soft drinks)

Since Bushehr has a warm muggy climate, eating ice cream and drinking juice is really desirable there. We recommend you to go Ice Sokhari shop and try a delicious ice cream. Bushehr also has nice cafes like Honar, Kolbeh, Zhafe and Firoozeh that you can go and enjoy your time.

What do we buy from Bushehr?

Souvenirs of a city represent the culture of the city. Handicrafts like Kilim and Gabbeh are the most popular souvenirs of Bushehr. Abaye Shotori, Gargoor ( fish trap), wickerwork, Felt, Fishing net, Tonireh, Dolche, Pottery and Ceramic are other handicrafts of the city. South fishes, Date Palm, Masqati, Tahini (Ardeh), Rashi Halva, Sangak Halva, Kharak and Ranginak are the delicious souvenirs of Bushehr that you can buy them from Bazaars of the city especially Bushehr's old Bazaar. Zeytoon shopping center in Motahari street, Mellat and Azadegan malls in Shohada street are also good places of the city for shopping.

Healthcare

Unexpected events and diseases are inevitable during a trip, so you need a piece of information about the health services of the city that you want to travel. Salman Farsi, Persian Gulf and Meraj community health center are good hospitals in Bushehr that provide patients with different therapeutic services. If you need any kinds of drug, ypu can go 22 Bahman and Hakim pharmacies.

Bushehr has many attractive places that you can go visit such as: Sa'adat school which is known as the mother of schools in the South of Iran, Malek edifice that is 100-year-old  and was built by French architects, Rafael ship which is called " Iranian Titanic ", Rais Ali Delvari museum that was the house of a Bushehr 's hero who fought against England and Portugal, Persian Gulf seafaring museum where the first battle cruiser of Iran is in, Rishar ancient city that is related to 3rd millennium BC, Gargoori Armenian cemetery, Shaghab cemetery, Dehdashti edifice and English grave cemetery.
