Museum of Decorative Arts
The museum of decorative arts is located in the historical Rakib Khaneh building. This building was built in the 11century AH, during the reign of Shah Abbas I. The purpose of this building was for keeping the horse riding equipment for the royal horses. During the Qajar Dynasty, Zell al-Sultan the governor of Isfahan, lived in this building.
During the Pahlavi Dynasty the building turned into a bureau of registration. In this museum there is a place for calligraphy and the remains of inscriptions and books with different types of covers are kept there. These are the valuable goods remained from the Safavid and Qajar Era.
